This one-day seminar is most helpful for nurses who are not critical care nurses, but who wish to increase their understanding of critical care skills to provide better care.

High-tech interventions such as mechanical ventilation and central lines are being seen in nursing homes and on regular nursing floors. Having a basic understanding of these technologies can improve nurses' practice and decrease their anxiety.

This seminar is intended to make nurses more familiar with these interventions, and to use the same assessment and treatment skills that critical care nurses use when managing high-acuity patients.
